University Challenge

MURPS - Maquarie University,
Sutekh - Sydney University, and
Clubsmed - UNSW

are all participating in this university challenge, which will continue at other cons throughout the year ahead. These three campuses have agreed to each provide a game, which has been written by one of their roleplaying club members. Maquariecon and Sydcon have both agreed to continue the competition. All players will be asked to complete a questionaire so we can determine which club has the best game. The winner gets to have the Intervarsity Roleplaying Trophy - at least until the next con when they are challenged again. This is part of Necronomicons' continuing effort to encourage roleplaying in the community.

Scattered throughout Middle-earth there are stretches of forest that have remained untouched and unchanged since before The Great Changing. Many feature in tales of wonder , while others such as Yfelwood and the Old Forest have stories used to frighten young children. Welcome to such a place, the Rast Vorn, or better known as the Black Cape.

What lurks within the confines of the Black Cape is such that Forest Trolls are only a minor nuisance. This is why it has come to the attention of HE who controls the Witch-King of Angmar.

Are you able to bring forth what power lies dormant within the shadows of the Black Cape or will you fall to her power?

: Team Leader's log. We have been in the mysterious area known as OUTSIDE for five daycycles now, and things are not proceeding well. We are running low on food and fuel, and these "Harley" vehicles which we have been issued with leave much to be desired.

: To make matters worse, our sealed orders are so highly classified that none of my team is cleared to open the envelope. My only hope is to somehow impress The Computer enough to get a promotion so I can pop the seal.

: With this in mind, it seems all we can do is activate our engines, head out on this "highway" thingee and look for adventure, or whatever comes our way. Hmm, here come a number of burly men on vehicles similar to our own. Perhaps they can help us.

How far?

On a stormy night in New Angeles in 2066, five professional bank robbers are committing the crime of the century, and of their lives. They are going into the Bank of New Angeles which is housed on the top of the new "super building", Heaven's Towers.

Heaven's Towers is a triumph of modern building and security and so it was the perfect place to house the biggest bank in the world. No one was supposed to be able to get in.

But there was a plan, and a way.

There was one contingency that was not planned for, though.

Heaven's Towers

has woken up.

A systemless game for five criminals who will do anything to survive.
